Welcome to my
shore angling site. I can only hope that it has helps a
lot of anglers, it is mainly the east coast of Scotland
but I am willing to put on other area's if someone sends
in what they know and would like to see on the site.
This site is for you the angler so it's you that makes
it.
Coming from
Edinburgh on the east coast of Scotland we mainly stick
to the east coast for our fishing yet we do venture over
to the west coast in search of bigger fish. You will
find that Scotland has a wide range of species and each
area has it's own residents, on the whole Scotland is
one of the best places in the UK for sea angling whether
it be from shore or boat. The shore line on the east
coast is mainly rugged ground which is a favourite for
the cod fishing, being the fish that most anglers tend
to search for, but for the specimen hunters there is a
great choice of species in our waters, Anglers never
tend to fish on their own door step myself included we
always seem to think of a place that we have got to
travel to yet there are areas that will give you the
same sport if not better at your feet, if you live next
to the sea as I do take a walk one day and have a good
look at what is around you. Every part of our coast line
holds fish it's just a question of when the dinner bell
goes for the fish, Fish travel round the coast looking
for their food especially cod. In the deeper water marks
you will get your resident fish that stay in that area
most of the time like Wrasse and Small codling and
conger eel. Fishing the east coast like all coasts
depends on the weather and the tides, if the winds are
not right and the tide is a neap then find deep water
marks where the tidal flow doesn't affect the area as
with shallower water marks. |
